Lewis J. Kaufman
Mr. Kaufman serves as a Senior Advisor to Proficient on corporate strategy matters. Mr. Kaufman's over 50 year career in the investment business is highlighted by a seventeen year association with Goldman Sachs, the last six as a General Partner. During his Goldman Sachs career, Mr. Kaufman was selected to establish Goldman Sachs first expansionary initiative in many years - the 1961 establishment of a West Coast office in Los Angeles. Mr. Kaufman voluntarily resigned from Goldman Sachs to assume a position with the Adminstration in Washington D.C. in 1971. Following his Washington experience, Mr. Kaufman returned to Los Angeles and established an investment banking boutique focused on providing corporate advisory services, primarily to healthcare-related businesses, as well as investment advisory services to a limited number of high new worth individuals.
